Öffentliche Festveranstaltung „25 Autor*innentreffen Junge Literatur in Europa“
The renowned international meeting of authors organized by the Hans Werner Richter Foundation in cooperation with the University of Greifswald is taking place for the 25th time this year. We want to celebrate this.
To mark the 25th anniversary, a public event will be held in the auditorium of the University of Greifswald as part of the authors' meeting. The Minister for Science, Culture, Federal and European Affairs Bettina Martin is expected to be among the guests of honor. Other guests include former participants, representatives of literary institutions and literary scholars.
The concept of the authors' meeting has changed several times over the course of its history. With these meetings, the Hans Werner Richter Foundation continues to build on the legendary meetings of Group 47 organized by its namesake. However, the focus is even more on the fruitful exchange between the participants and less on the debate between critics and authors. In recent years, at the request of the young writers, the meeting has developed into a genuine workshop meeting in a friendly atmosphere, where authors writing in German can exchange ideas with their international colleagues about as yet unpublished texts.
Program items:
- Welcoming remarks (Rector Prof. Dr. Katharina Riedel, Minister Bettina Martin, Prof. Dr. Marko Pantermöller for the Hans Werner Richter Foundation)
- Prof. Dr. Hans Gerd-Koch talks about the recent history of the Greifswald Authors' Meeting
- Author Isabelle Lehn and author Jan Brandt read from the literary impressions of Greifswald by former participants of the authors' meetings
- Visual accompaniment; presentation of photographic impressions from 27 years of the Foundation's archive
- Musical accompaniment: Alexander Girot (piano) and Andreas Rosin (saxophone)
- Followed by a reception in the conference hall of the main building.
