A tour of discovery with Dr Sabine Lindqvist
In November, we commemorate the dead. The guided tour traces a journey from Stone Age megalithic tombs, through the Lübsow burial mound and the Christian Middle Ages, to some 19th-century funeral customs. The graves show that the dead were held in high esteem and were sometimes buried with rich grave goods, which also allowed the bereaved to showcase their status.
