Ruth Tesmar, born in Potsdam in 1951, was an art professor at the Humboldt University in Berlin until 2016, where she headed the MENZEL-DACH. In addition to her painterly and graphic works, she also took on book art projects and received various prizes for graphic design and book art. She lives and works in Schwerin.

In addition, five portraits by the Munich photographer Nomi Baumgartl from her book "Wolfgang Koeppen: Ich?" (1997) will also be on display.
