Stray Bodies (STRAZEkino)
... deals with physical self-determination in Europe - a place where you are free to travel, work and consume, but where you cannot always live or die according to your own wishes.
Documentary / GR, CH, IT, BG 2024 / Director: Elina Psykou / 109 mins / Original language with English subtitles
In order to gain access to their fundamental human rights, Robin, Kiki, Katerina and Gaia travel to places where many people go on holiday. In doing so, they circumvent the restrictive laws of their home countries, where abortion, in vitro fertilisation and assisted dying are not legal. Director Elina Psykou accompanies the four protagonists on a colourful, dazzling and empowering road trip through Europe, where, rather than tourist attractions, political restrictions on women and queer people await at every street corner.
