The feature film tells the true story of lawyer Rob Bilott, who single-handedly took on one of the world's largest chemical companies and brought the so-called Teflon scandal to light.

Cincinnati, 1998: Successful business lawyer Rob Bilott finds himself in a quandary when two farmers draw his attention to strange occurrences in Parkersburg, West Virginia, where a large number of cows have mysteriously died. The farmers suspect that the chemical company DuPont, for whom Bilott himself works as a lawyer, is behind it. Despite this conflict of interest, the conscientious lawyer is determined to solve the case without reservation and quickly finds incriminating evidence that points to an environmental scandal of immense proportions. Supported by his boss Tom Terp and his wife Sarah, Bilott sacrificially throws himself into a protracted dispute that could cost him his reputation, his health, his personal happiness and perhaps even his life...

Following the film, we invite you to a lecture with Prof. Dr Nils-Olaf Hübner, Director and Chief Hospital Hygienist of the Medical Board of the University Medical Centre Greifswald. Together we would like to discuss environmental toxins, health consequences and social responsibility in dealing with pollutants.
