Excursion on the topic "River Ryck floodplain" 20/05/2026
Exploring the Ryck as a body of water.
As part of the annual theme "River", the BUND Greifswald group would like to explore not only the Ryck as a body of water, but also its neighbouring ecosystem - the floodplain. Accompanied by Annie Wojatschke, Moor Management of the City of Greifswald, we would like to find out more about how the Ryck valley has developed since the last ice age and what significance it has had for the people of the city and still has today.
The expert will also tell us about the characteristics and functions that characterise this wet habitat. We will also take a look underground and take a closer look at the typical plants
You are cordially invited to an exciting and informative excursion on the outskirts of Greifswald!
