Discover nature: Excursion through the Karrendorf meadows
The Michael Succow Foundation invites you to the Karrendorfer Wiesen.
The 350-hectare coastal flooding marsh is part of the national natural heritage and provides a habitat for rare plants as well as numerous waders and water birds.
With the wind in your hair through the salt grassland - the Karrendorf meadows invite you to experience nature up close.
During the guided tour, you will learn more about the special dynamics of this landscape and its role in biodiversity and climate protection. The three-hour excursion is accompanied by federal volunteers from the Michael Succow Foundation. In spring in particular, lapwings can be seen performing their flight manoeuvres and many bird species return to their breeding grounds.
