Intercultural choir workshop for all
Three-day choir workshop from 20-22 March 2026 as part of the Action Weeks against Racism
As part of the action weeks against racism, the Bürgerhafen multigenerational centre is offering a choir workshop for intercultural singing. Under the direction of Berlin cultural scientist, singer and choir director Nora Zender (einfachsingen.org), singing enthusiasts with and without a history of flight and migration are cordially invited to form an international weekend choir together - because hardly anything connects us as quickly as the language of music. We will learn simple 1-3 part songs in original languages from different regions of the world and also look at the history and origin of the songs. The focus of the workshop is on the joy of singing together and appreciating the diversity of sounds from the cultures of our world. Knowledge of sheet music is not a prerequisite, everyone is welcome! Participation in all 3 days is a prerequisite for registration.
The group should consist of 16-25 people.
Participation is free of charge.
