"Germany, let's talk" - book launch with Katrin Göring-Eckardt
Heat pumps and gendering; refugees and old white men; warmongers and pacifists, swearers and the woke culture: enemy stereotypes characterise our debates. Where does the fear come from? Where does the anger come from? Have we reached the end of our common ground or can we still discuss, listen and let others have their say, even if we don't agree with them? Katrin Göring-Eckardt wants to find out. On her journey through Germany, she meets different people - those who are satisfied, but also those who are disappointed, feel disadvantaged and see change as an imposition. Despite all the differences of opinion, are there still things we can agree on?
can agree on? To do so, we must first understand each other - and realise that others can also be right.
