Leben im Lager - Vortrag und Input
An input from Migranos Movement and space to discuss support options as part of the Intercultural Week in Greifswald
Refugees in Germany are often confronted with difficult living conditions: Living in camps, uncertain residence permits, constant bureaucracy and experiences of racism in everyday life. Migranos Movement - a self-organized movement of those affected - provides insights into this reality and shows what challenges, but also what forms of resistance and self-organization exist.
Topics of the input
Everyday life in camps - psychological, social and political dimensions
"Tolerance" and its consequences for the lives of those affected
Payment card as an instrument of control
Life without papers - constant fear and invisibility
Isolation, bureaucracy and the effect on self-determination
Experiences with advice centers, support groups and political actors
What solidarity means in practice - respectful, concrete and without appropriation
Approaches for change from below - with those affected, not about them
Why participate?
The input from Migranos Movement not only offers the opportunity to get to know the personal experiences and perspectives of refugees, but also concrete suggestions on what solidarity-based action can look like. Those who attend will learn how community-based support structures can be built - structures that empower those affected and enable real change.
Admission is free.
The STRAZE is wheelchair-accessible. There are wheelchair-accessible toilets and an elevator.
