Rural Stewart County lies quiet and sleepy in southwest Georgia. Hidden in the woods is one of the largest deportation prisons in the United States. Up to 2,000 people await trial here. Mostly without legal accompaniment. A legally fair asylum procedure is difficult to obtain in many areas of the USA, as the prisons are usually located "An Hour from the Middle of Nowhere".

This is also the case in Stewart County: there are no private asylum and migration lawyers within a radius of 200 kilometers except for Marty Rosenbluth, who has dedicated his life to defending human rights.

Together with his assistant Alondra, Marty fights with gentleness and passionate dedication for people in immigration detention and against the arbitrariness of the courts. In observational scenes, we experience various cases and accompany the family of one of his clients on their legal and emotional rollercoaster ride until the day of the trial.

A grandiose narrative about an outstanding migration lawyer, his assistant and their clients emerges and is an authentic and quiet observation of the brutal deportation machinery of today's USA.
