Oslo Stories: Sehnsucht (STRAZEkino)
All good things come in threes. Today we are showing the last part of the Oslo Stories trilogy by Dag Johan Haugerud.
Drama / NO 2024 / Director: Dag Johan Haugerud / 114 min. / Original language / FSK12
Two chimney sweep friends living in monogamous, heterosexual marriages both find themselves in situations that challenge their views on sexuality and gender roles. One has a sexual encounter with another man, without considering it an expression of homosexuality or infidelity, and subsequently discusses it with his wife. The other is thrown off course by a sensual dream about David Bowie.
Separately, the films in Dag Johan Haugerud's Oslo Stories trilogy each take a new look at the things that shape our lives. They tell of love, longing and dreams, question identity, gender and sexuality, and use fascinating characters and clever dialog to create clever and approachable utopias of how we could live together.
