Oslo Stories: Liebe (STRAZEkino)
At the end of the summer break, we are showing the first part of the Oslo Stories trilogy by Dag Johan Haugerud.
Drama / NO 2024 / Director: Dag Johan Haugerud / 119 min. / Original language / FSK12
Although pragmatic doctor Marianne and empathetic nurse Tor work in the same hospital, they meet by chance on a ferry bound for Oslo. They quickly become close and talk about intimate things. When Tor tells her that he likes to spend his evenings on ferries like this one to have casual sex, Marianne begins to wonder whether this spontaneous intimacy would be something for her too.
Separately, the films in Dag Johan Haugerud's Oslo Stories trilogy each take a new look at the things that shape our lives. They tell of love, longing and dreams, question identity, gender and sexuality, and use fascinating characters and clever dialog to create clever and approachable utopias of how we could live together.
