Pflück & Glück with the Ostseeviertel Neighbourhood Café
Together with neighbours from the Ostseeviertel, fruit is harvested from the Wiecker Schlag and along the Ryck, and then processed for the organisations in the Ostseeviertel
Let’s harvest, enjoy and make a difference together!
Together with neighbours from the Ostseeviertel, fruit will be harvested from the Wiecker Schlag and along the Ryck.
On 12 October 2026, the freshly harvested fruit will be turned into delicious apple juice on site by a mobile cider press.
Schools and nurseries from the local community are also warmly invited to join us. Coffee and cake will, of course, be provided.
The resulting cider will then be donated to nurseries, care homes and other organisations in the Ostseeviertel.
Together with the City of Greifswald and NABU’s orchard group, a jointly designed sign will also be unveiled.
In this way, unused fruit is transformed into a shared experience – promoting greater sustainability, social interaction and community spirit in the Ostseeviertel.
