Batnight Greifswald
At Batnight, as well as all sorts of information about bats, you can look forward to a bat detector walk and, as a highlight, a net catch, where we’ll catch bats so that everyone can have a good look at them.
Batnight is taking place on 16 August, and the NABU Greifswald bat group invites everyone interested, young and old alike!
You can look forward to general information about bats and answers to (hopefully) all your questions.
We’ve also planned a detector tour, during which we’ll make the bats’ ultrasonic calls audible and identify them, as well as a net catch so we can show you these hunters of the night up close.
When?
16 August 2026 from 7.30 pm (Unfortunately, Bat Night cannot take place in rainy weather)
Where?
Elisenhain entrance on Hainstraße in Eldena
What do you need?
Sturdy footwear and a head torch or torch
Please send a short email to jasmin.becker@stud.uni-greifswald.de to register, as the event is limited to a maximum of 30 people.
We look forward to seeing you there!
