Thomas “Eichi” Eichstädt coaches the FC Pio football team in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. Many of the young players, such as 17-year-old Asad or Thomas from Sierra Leone, have fled their home countries and are struggling to find work and gain acceptance. For many, Eichi is a father figure, yet he looks back on a dark period as a right-wing extremist.
A feature-length documentary about what it means to build bridges and start afresh in life.
