Citizens' forum: Better decisions
Workshop under the direction of Prof Dr Konstanze Marx-Wischnowski (Greifswald) and Prof Dr Klaus Wolfgang Kesselheim (Greifswald)
Long sentences, paragraphs, word monsters - who doesn't know the feeling of helplessness when reading a letter from the authorities? In the University and Hanseatic City of Greifswald, this is now set to improve. To this end, the city is teaming up with the Department of German Linguistics at the Institute of German Philology at the University of Greifswald to scrutinise letters from the authorities from a linguistic perspective. This is in fulfilment of a mandate from the town council. In this context, a citizens' forum is being organised in cooperation with the Alfried Krupp Wissenschaftskolleg. The aim is to use many specific examples and challenges to think together about how notices can be improved. What particularly bothers you? What would you like to see? How would you implement it? These are the questions that will guide you through this workshop format.
A warm invitation to all those who receive notifications.
