Easter bonfire in Greifswald - hope, community & the joy of spring!

On Easter Saturday, 4 April 2026, we will celebrate our traditional Easter bonfire together (since 2012) - a happy day for the whole family and a special celebration around Easter.

It starts at 3 pm with coffee & cake and a colourful children's party. Bouncy castle, face painting and lots of hands-on activities ensure plenty of fun for the little guests.

From 4 pm there will be live music and a varied programme. What does Easter have to do not only with the Easter bunny, but also with Jesus? Children and young people from the neighbourhood will put on a creative play about the Easter message - the good news of hope, new life and the light that is stronger than any darkness.

The big Easter bonfire will be lit at 5 pm. Together with the Greifswald volunteer fire brigade, we will fan the flames and enjoy delicious food from the barbecue and the special atmosphere around the fire.
