Swinging Seagulls

Andreas Pasternack and swing band

Tickets: €19 / reduced €16 at the regular box offices or online
The jazz band Swinging Seagulls is dedicated to the swing and standards of the early 20s and 30s.
The saxophonist and singer Andreas Pasternack is one of the best-known and most popular musicians in our country, but has also performed enthusiastically in Japan, Poland and the USA. He leads his own big band, presents the NDR radio programme "Jazztime" once a week and has been awarded the Culture Prize of the Hanseatic City of Rostock and the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. The Seagulls have been thrilling audiences on stages across the country and in Berlin since 2016.

The well-known jazz musician Jim McIntosh recently wrote in the English jazz magazine "Just Jazz": "I was curious to hear what this fusion of styles would sound like. Well, what a wonderful surprise! ... All the different styles merge into a refreshingly new interpretation of the music ... expanding the sound into something special that goes far beyond a quartet...I thoroughly enjoyed the evening with the Singing Seagulls. Hats off to a wonderful
band, good jazz, entertaining, fresh, highly professional and, most importantly for me, SWINGING!"
