A space princess is torn from her sheltered life and embarks on a galactic mission to rescue her ex-girlfriend, a bounty hunter, from the Straight White Maliens.

The introverted Princess Saira, daughter of the lesbian queens of the planet Clitopolis, is devastated: the hot bounty hunter Kiki has broken up with her - out of sheer boredom! And yet Saira has made her such a beautiful relationship album! But when Kiki is kidnapped by the Straight White Maliens, the Incels of the future, Saira has to leave the safe space of queer space and buy her freedom within 24 hours: The Maliens demand the famous royal Labrys - a golden double axe of almost unbelievable lesbian power. The only problem... Saira doesn't have it! She only has 24 hours to get the weapon and save Kiki, and embarks on an inter-gay-lactic journey of self-discovery, including an encounter with a problematic spaceship and a new friendship with gay pop runaway Willow.

STRAZE and IZfG (Interdisciplinary Centre for Gender Studies) are cooperating for the first time for the film screening. The IZfG team will frame the film with a short introduction that situates "Lesbian Space Princess" in the tradition of queer cinema presentation. It will discuss the "mysterious reasons" for FSK16, but also cinematic pioneers such as "Codependent Lesbian Space Alien Seeks Same" (2012).
If you feel like it, you can pick up the conversation thread in the café after the film and discuss lesbians in space and queerness in cinema with each other and the IZfG team.
