In this practical workshop, you will learn how photography came about and how camera technology has developed over time.

How the key photographic parameters of aperture, exposure time, depth of field and focus distance work together and how you can use them to create expressive photos. Together with an experienced photographer, you will try out what you have learned outdoors in natural light and then discuss the resulting images and analyze technical and creative aspects. The aim of the workshop is to give you a better understanding of your camera and enable you to make specific manual settings to creatively shape your image.

Please bring an SLR camera or a digital compact camera with manual settings (not fully automatic). Basic knowledge is not required.

Courses offered by the Volkshochschule Vorpommern-Greifswald are aimed at people aged 14 and over.
