For a decade, Karin Schmidt has been leading the "Summer Painting" course, in which art teachers and members of the Pomeranian Artists' Association come together to capture beautiful motifs from the landscapes of Mecklenburg and Western Pomerania on their canvases.
Karin Schmidt is an exceptional talent among them: she manages to depict the movement and liveliness of the objects and situations in her pictures with great intensity, be it flowing water, drifting clouds in the sky, billowing sails or wind-bent trees and plants... With determination, she quickly selects the elements and colors that are important for the composition, works with sweeping brushstrokes and has a sure feeling for the arrangement of light and shadow effects. Each of her paintings is a new, unique experience and surprises the viewer with its captivating style of painting and friendly approach to the local motif.
After the vernissage on 30.8.2025, this exhibition can be viewed in the PKB KunstLADEN at Feldstraße 20 on Fridays and Saturdays from 3 to 6 pm.
