Benefizkonzert zugunsten des geplanten Tageszentrums für autistische Kinder in Jurbarkas/Litauen
At the beginning of summer, the Gospelkombinat will give a concert in the Johanneskirche, Bugenhagenstraße 4, featuring the gospel cantata "The Transfiguration" and pieces from the "psalms & spirituals" program.
The Gospelkombinat has maintained friendly relations with the Evangelical Lutheran parish in Jurbarkas, Lithuania, for many years. In 2018, the choir accepted an invitation from the local pastor Mindaugas Kairys and undertook a concert tour to the Baltic States.
Now the "Jurbarkas Sandora" deaconry is asking for help: it is planning to set up a day center for children with autism spectrum disorders and their families in the Jurbarkas district. The center will offer up to 20 children an adapted environment that promotes their development and interaction. Specialized rooms are planned, including a sensory room, therapy facilities and offices.
The center will also offer training for parents to provide them with knowledge and methods for dealing with autism. The aim is to offer families emotional and practical support in a challenging life situation. The site has been secured and planning is underway - but your support is needed for the equipment, furniture and child-friendly design!
Please help - every donation counts!
The Gospelkombinat will pass on the entire collection from the benefit concert on June 23, 2025 to the deaconry in Jurbarkas. Together we want to give children with autism a place where they can develop and give their families new hope.
