Nordic Sound 2025: Martin Velíšek: Punk illustrations to Greenlandic fairy tales II (CZ)

The Greenlandic storytelling tradition goes back many centuries and was originally passed down orally. They were both entertaining and educational. At the beginning of the 20th century, these stories were written down and later rewritten for different target groups. The exhibition is based on Gunvor Bjerre's retellings of selected children's stories and provides an insight into this tradition. The illustrations are by Martin Velíšek. Zdenek Lyčka will open the exhibition with a lecture, followed by readings of German translations by students of Fennistics and Scandinavian Studies.
