This combination course gives you the opportunity to learn everything you need to know about children's make-up in a small group on two dates.

We’ll start with the basics on the first day of the course. You’ll learn in detail which equipment is recommended, where to buy it and how to use it. On the second day of the course, you’ll put the basic knowledge you’ve learnt into practice and, under guidance, create wonderful face-painting designs for girls and boys. For each day of the course, you’ll receive a comprehensive handout covering all the course content and practical step-by-step instructions for use at home. All the necessary materials will also be provided during the course.

Course content

Day 1, 7 November 2026 = Basics
Prerequisites: none required
Please bring: 2 water containers, a towel, wet wipes (oil-free), paper and pen, a camera or mobile phone, a snack and a drink
- Hygiene standards
- Colour theory
- Recommended starter kit
- Materials (paints, brushes, sponges)
- Painting with a brush (brushstroke techniques)
- Painting with a sponge (paint application, colour transitions)
- Handout covering all course content

Day 2 of the course, 21 November 2026 = Professional techniques
Prerequisites: Basics
Please bring: 2 water containers, a towel, wet wipes (oil-free), paper and pen, a camera/mobile phone, a snack/drink
- Glitter (loose, liquid, gel, wax)
- Stencils (types, application, cleaning)
- Painting popular face-painting designs for girls and boys (e.g. butterfly, unicorn, Spider-Man, spider)
- Handout containing all course content and photos of the face-painting designs

Registration for the course is essential and can be done via the website www.vhs-vg.de or in person at the vhs.
Courses offered by the Vorpommern-Greifswald Adult Education Centre are aimed at people aged 14 and over.
