Wandelkonzert zur Eröffnung des Greifswalder Orgelsommers
St. Jacobi (6 p.m.) - St. Nikolai Cathedral (6:30 p.m.) - St. Marien (7:15 p.m.)
On Wednesday, July 2, the Greifswald Organ Summer starts, in which renowned organists bring one of the organs in the old town to life every Wednesday. It has become a fine tradition that there is an organ concert at the opening. The cantors of the three large Old Town churches perform the concert on their respective organs, this year under the unifying theme of "Dances on the Organ". Luisa Leske will begin at 6 pm in St. Jacobi, followed at 6.30 pm by Konja Voll in St. Nikolai Cathedral, before Silvia Treuer concludes at 7.15 pm in St. Marien. Works by D. Buxtehude, M. C. de Jong, J. Rheinberger and others will be performed.
Admission is free, but a donation is requested at the exit to help fund the Organ Summer. All participants are invited to enjoy a glass of wine at the end of the concert.
