Songs with humour and depth
Lars Jantzen
Experience a blend of North German cheerfulness and Rhineland serenity – or perhaps the other way round ;-)
“Is that real hair?” Lars Jantzen has long since got used to this question. It is. Just as charmingly tousled and authentic as his songs. In his show, the songs – mostly performed in the first person – are interspersed with short anecdotes. These are memories, observations and wordplay, into which the audience is occasionally drawn. It is these contrasts that make the show so special. Lars Jantzen tackles everyday life in his own way – refreshingly different.
As a sound engineer, Lars Jantzen has been helping others make their voices heard for years: singers, cabaret artists, journalists, guitarists, comedians, mountaineers, carnival performers…
Now, this native of northern Germany is taking to the stage himself. He brings with him a guitar, a harmonica and plenty of stories set to music. “These are texts drawn from life, mostly from my own,” as he openly admits, though they may also have been inspired by his unique professional background.
