Paintings and graphics by the Greifswald artist

The exhibition offers an insight into the diverse and extensive work of Greifswald artist Karin Wurlitzer over the past few years and presents current paintings as well as a cross-section of her graphic works.

Colours are layered, offering glimpses of painterly backgrounds, the clear view dissolves into a complexity of moments and elements - sky and sea, structures and constructions, light and shadow.
Karin Wurlitzer's paintings are a kind of "structure" - compositions that break up a motif, demand sensual orientation and create works of art as a "fabric" of colours and forms that offer space for exploration.
