Guided tour of the castle and church

Wednesday evening guided tour of the castle, chapel and mausoleum

From 1 July to 2 September 2026, the Friends’ Association, in collaboration with the Kemnitz Protestant Parish, is offering a guided tour every Wednesday of three places of interest in the village of Ludwigsburg: the castle of the Dukes of Pomerania, built in 1592, which was also an original setting for North German Romanticism; the church (castle chapel), built in 1708; and the 19th-century mausoleum. The discovery tour begins at 6.00 pm in the castle courtyard and lasts approximately 90 minutes. Admission is free – donations in aid of the Friends’ Association and the chapel are welcome. No booking is required.
PLEASE NOTE: On 5 August, the church tour will unfortunately have to be cancelled due to a concert in the castle chapel. Participants in the castle tour will nevertheless have the opportunity to visit the church by attending the concert from 7.00 pm (a recital featuring works by Fauré, Debussy, Britten and Piazzolla – sung by Franziska Dillner-Koch and accompanied on the piano by Fabian Klentzke).
