Finissage: "Holger Siemann's colourful sheep - Loved - Painted - Eaten"
Holger Siemann's reading about his awkward start as a city dweller in the countryside
Holger Siemann has lived with sheep and a whole menagerie of other animals on a farm in the Uckermark for fourteen years. In his reading, he tells of the awkward start of a city dweller in the countryside, of wonderfully absurd rookie mistakes and the moments when theory and reality painfully collide. With a great deal of self-irony and the eye of a trained philosopher, he takes apart the common city-country myths. Today, he moves somewhere between community representative, mediator, translator and patient explainer for Berliners who have followed him - a position between two stools that sharpens his observations and gives his stories their special tone.
