Bridge Markland races through Kleist's broken jug with gusto + steams up the classic into an entertaining pop music court show.

The courtroom dispute over a broken jug hides another crime: influential man harasses young woman. Will Eve dare to accuse the perpetrator and thus exonerate her fiancé Ruprecht? Because he is threatened with military service in distant lands and Hans Albers sings vividly about this "at Rocktown he's long since in his grave / and flowers grow out of his bones". The web of lies and the abuse of power become more and more transparent during the show. Can justice prevail in the end?
